Camden Fairview Middle School has earned three Outstanding Educational Performance Awards from the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas for student growth on the ATLAS assessment.

In its middle school report, OEP recognized CFMS for High Overall Growth, High English Language Arts Growth, and High Science Growth in the Southwest region.

OEP’s annual Outstanding Educational Performance Awards recognize schools where students demonstrate high academic growth. The office describes growth as an indicator of the positive impact a school is having on its students.

Order your Homecoming T-Shirt this week! Get ready for “Friday Night Frights” Homecoming on October 16! T-shirts are available by preorder only, with this year’s court featured on the back. Youth sizes are $15; adult S–3XL are $20; and 4XL–5XL are $22. Order forms are available in the front office and online here. Complete a separate form for each shirt and turn it in to Mr. Andrey Wright at CFHS or your school’s front office by Monday, October 5. No extra shirts will be ordered.

Join the Homecoming Parade! Families, community groups, and organizations are invited to participate in the “Friday Night Frights” Homecoming Parade on Friday, October 16, at 3:00 PM. The parade begins at First Baptist Church. Pick up an entry form at CFHS and register with Ms. Stivers or Mrs. Wooten by the end of the day Wednesday, October 14.  An entry form must be on file to participate. The fee is $10 per car or truck and $5 per motorcycle or ATV; proceeds will help purchase materials for next year’s student floats. For details, call CFHS at 870-837-1300 during school hours.

The CFMS Annual Flu Clinic will be held on October 8, 2026. Flu shot forms were handed out to students last week and are available in the front office. Please return completed forms as soon as possible to Nurse Dean. 

Students, you are rocking the ATLAS Interim Assessment this week! Keep up the great work! Get plenty of rest, eat a good breakfast, arrive on time, read each question carefully, use your scratch paper, and do your best — even when the questions are challenging! Remember: you have been training for this, and now it’s time to run your race!

SCORE AND SOAR DAY:  if you receive a 3 or 4 on your ATLAS Interim test this week, you will get a golden ticket to miss school on Friday, October 2, 2026!

It's almost time for the annual pumpkin decorating contest! Pumpkins are to be brought to school on October 27. students will vote on October 29 via Google form.

Our Capturing Kids’ Hearts word for October is courage. Courage means choosing to do what is right, necessary, or difficult even when you are afraid, uncomfortable, uncertain, or under pressure. Courage does not mean that you are never afraid. It means you refuse to allow fear to make your decisions for you.

Please wear your house colors each Wednesday. 

Breakfast begins at 7:20 AM. Students should arrive to school by 7:45 AM to allow plenty of time to travel to class before the first bell rings at 7:55 AM. Please arrive on time and ready to learn!

Afternoon dismissal begins at 3:30 PM. Families, please remind your student to go to the appropriate location during afternoon car and bus dismissal. To ensure everyone leaves using the correct method home, students must all be in the right place.

Online and card purchases include applicable service and card-processing fees. Cash will continue to be accepted. CFSD employees receive free admission with their district ID badge.

🚫Food and Drinks: No outside food or drinks, including tumblers, are permitted.

🚫 Pets: Only registered service animals are allowed.

👥 Fan Conduct: Students in grades K–5 must be supervised by an adult at all times. All home and visiting students are expected to behave appropriately. Adults and students may be removed for fighting, disrespectful behavior, or possession of prohibited items. Students must be picked up within 20 minutes after the event ends.
