Camden Fairview Elementaries Plan Picnics with Parents

Next week, parents and guardians of elementary students at Fairview Elementary, Ivory Primary, and CFIS will have a chance to enjoy lunch with their students for the first time since March 2020. With data from the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement (ACHI) showing Camden Fairview with 0-9 new known active Covid-19 cases for the third week in a row, administrators began planning ways to safely allow grownups opportunities to be part of their students’ school days again.  

The elementary Picnic with Parents events are set for November 9 at Ivory Primary, November 11 at CFIS, and November 12 at FES. Additional information is being sent home with students this week. Camden Fairview Superintendent Johnny Embry said, “We just wanted our families to know we appreciate all the support they’ve provided. Our community has worked hard to keep students and staff safe, and that hard work is paying off. Our administrators and teachers, everyone really, know that elementary parents eating with their kids is a special part of school. Everyone has missed that, and we’re excited to give our families a chance to do that in the safest way possible.”
