Barbara Gulley Chosen as Ivory Intermediate’s Teacher of the Year

#CardinalPride - Ivory Intermediate School’s Teacher of the Year is Barbara Gulley! Ms. Gulley is a fourth grade literacy teacher with 16 years of service at Camden Fairview. She earned an Associate of Arts in Teacher Education from SAU Tech in 2005 and a Bachelor of Science in Teacher Education from Henderson State University in May 2007. She has completed the Arkansas Leadership Academy: Teacher Institute and worked to create a collaborative classroom experience through the PLC Process as a Literacy Lead Teacher.

Ms. Gulley’s goal is for every student to leave each class with the motivation, skills, and strategies for continuous academic growth. She believes the educator’s most important role is to stay passionate about their position and responsibility. Being committed to the student’s well-being, as well as, their educational needs, means the teacher must embrace the whole child, building a strong relationship and then providing instruction that moves the student to higher levels of growth.
