Local Group Honors Camden Fairview Seniors

DAR

The Tate’s Bluff Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently honored Camden Fairview seniors Zoe Goss and LaTarra Curtis.

Zoe received the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen Award and Scholarship. The DAR Good Citizenship Award was established in 1934 to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship by recognizing individuals who possess the characteristics of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism. The recipient decision is also based on a submitted essay. This year’s applicants were asked to discuss why the four qualities are important and how the applicant has tried to exhibit these qualities in their life and relationships with others.

LaTarra received the DAR JROTC Award. The JROTC Award is presented annually to outstanding student cadets who exhibit exceptional ability and achievement throughout their high school career.

Congratulations to Zoe and LaTarra, and thank you to the local Tate’s Bluff Chapter of DAR for supporting Camden Fairview students!
