Today, CFHS Principal Cara Bowie took on a different but familiar role. As a former History teacher, Bowie was able to engage Mrs. Heather James’ World History students with a lesson on analyzing primary sources. She helped to prepare them for the DBQ portion on their upcoming AP exam. The students got hands on with breaking down the documents using the analysis tool SOAPS Tone.
“I learned how to look at history documents and analyze them better,” says Sophomore Ayana Marks about the lesson. “I feel like Mrs. Bowie actually cares about our education and seeing us succeed. She took time to explain and break down the things we didn’t understand. Overall, I enjoyed her as my teacher for the day.”
Our principals go above and beyond in their roles to not just be authority figures, but to be hands-on in the learning process. Great things are happening at CFHS! #CardinalPride
